With Jason Garrett deciding to remain with the Dallas Cowboys as offensive coordinator, the Ravens will move on with their coaching search.

Garrett was at team headquarters in Owings Mills, Md. Monday evening and most of Tuesday interviewing with the Ravens' search committee, headed by general manager Ozzie Newsome.

"We did negotiate with Jason Garrett to become our head coach," the team said in a statement. "In the end, he decided to stay in Dallas. We're continuing our second round of interviews. We're excited with the candidates and confident we will select the best head coach for the Ravens."

Newsome attended a practice at the East-West Shrine Game in Houston Wednesday, suspending talks with other candidates for the position.

Now, the group that includes Newsome, owner Steve Bisciotti, president Dick Cass, and senior vice president of public and community relations Kevin Byrne will meet again at 2:00 p.m. Thursday to discuss the next step in the second batch of talks.

The Ravens' list reportedly has Philadelphia Eagles secondary coach John Harbaugh and New York Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, who both interviewed a week after Brian Billick was let go on Dec. 31.

Per reports from ESPN, Garrett will receive a considerable raise and the implied promise that he will eventually supplant Wade Phillips as head coach.

Garrett also interviewed for a second time with the Atlanta Falcons Wednesday to lead that club, a job for which former Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan is said to be in the running.

San Diego Golf For All

No matter how much or how little experience you have with the game, you'll find that a San Diego golf facility offers something for the entire family. And with a variety of San Diego tee times, you and your family can schedule games when San Diego golf courses are not nearly as crowded – which also means that your greens fees are going to be less as well.

San Diego Golf Choices

San Diego golf is offered at both private county clubs as well as many well-maintained, low-cost, citizen-funded San Diego public golf facilities. There are distinct advantages to each; for example, a San Diego golf course at one of the area's exclusive private country clubs usually offers many amenities, such as restaurants, cocktail lounges, reception facilities and even alternatives such as tennis and swimming pools. The downside is that such clubs tend to be expensive and usually require that one be sponsored by a current member in good standing in order to gain membership. In addition, a private San Diego golf course typically requires a long-term commitment, though visitors to the area can often purchase a two-week temporary membership.

If you are a visitor to the area, you'll most likely prefer the lower costs and convenience of a San Diego public golf course; while these may not have dining facilities or other amenities, the courses themselves compare quite favorably with their privately-owned counterparts. On the other hand, if you are planning to settle in San Diego – and particularly if you have family members who are not themselves golfers – a private San Diego golf facility may suit your needs quite well so that the wife and kids can occupy themselves with other activities while you're tear up the greens.

The other advantage to the private San Diego golf and country club is of course the event facilities, that are available to members for such things as weddings, graduation parties, bar-mitzvahs and such. These may be included in the membership fees. If they're not, your family will most certainly be entitled to membership discounts on such services.

Remember San Diego Tee Times

Keep in mind that regardless of whether you plan on playing at a San Diego public golf course or a private country club, you'll have to schedule your tee time in advance. Fortunately, virtually all San Diego golf courses maintain web sites through which you can book tee times of your choosing. Remember that your typical San Diego golf course is going to be much less crowded during the week, meaning you'll be able to enjoy a more pleasant and relaxed round of San Diego golf.

Baseball Tips On Hitting: How To Approach Hitting When You Are Behind In The Count!

It's not the end of the world when a baseball hitter is behind in the count. Sometimes some of the best baseball tips on hitting require the hitter to do less and not more. Here is the proper approach you really should take.

If a baseball hitter falls behind in the count at 0-2 or 1-2, he is forced into more of a defensive mode. When the hitter is ahead in the count, he can decide what type of pitch and pitch location he will swing at.

Now, when the hitter is behind in the count, just the exact opposite is true. Now he must swing at the pitcher's pitch. The pitcher basically now decides what the hitter has to swing at and the hitter can no longer be selective as to what he would like to hit. The hitter may be very wise to slightly alter his swing. Good baseball hitters all realize that there is nothing wrong with conceding a little to the pitcher. They put their egos aside and it's more important to have a successful at bat.

When A Hitter Is Behind In The Count:

1) You should work from the "outside in". This simply means that you must gear yourself for a tough low and away strike and adjust if the pitch is over the inside part of the plate. You can look "away" and adjust "in" but it's very difficult to look "in" and adjust to the pitch that's "away." Working from the outside in is one of those baseball tips on hitting that's been around for years but has withstood the test of time. It still holds true.

2) When behind in the count and with two strikes on them, some very good hitters will spread their feet a little wider than usual, take no stride at all, choke up and just try to put the ball in play. This is smart hitting. They are good hitters and realize they are at a disadvantage and just want to make contact and let the chips fall where they may.

3) There is nothing wrong with conceding a little to the pitcher when the pitcher has the count in his favor and you, the hitter, are behind in the count.

You may be very pleasantly surprised that even though this is one of the baseball tips on hitting that requires you to be more defensive in your approach, you may get several hits by simply focusing on just putting the ball in play. Real good hitters refer to this as "not trying to do too much" at the plate. Sometimes just focusing on putting the ball in play brings about excellent results.

How To Paddle A Surf Ski In The Ocean

Best Time in Buying a Surf Ski

As the old adage says, there is always an appropriate place and time for everything. This even applies when buying a surf ski and other seasonal products. Surf skis are used in beaches, and beaches are usually visited during spring break and the summer season. But does this mean that these are the only times when a surf ski should be bought? Of course not! Besides spring and summer seasons, there are specific dates when surf skis are good for purchase.

The first week of January is actually an ideal time, since the commodities are still priced low and there are still surpluses of other materials that have been made during the previous years. This is also a good advantage since the old stocks of surf skis might actually be available up to that particular time only so you’ll actually get a BIG bargain out of it.

Couples are usually seen at beach, so buying during Valentine’s Day, even if it is quite inappropriate to surf at the beach during winter, is an ideal thing. Most products are for sale at low prices especially when they are not in use for that particular season.

Some stores can also give birthday discounts for those people who would like to buy a surf ski as a present. This is quite rare but precious when found. A buyer can either search for promos on the internet or ask some personnel about "on sale" possibilities.

Thanksgiving is also a great day for buying surf skis, as long as family-oriented holidays such as Father’s Day and Mother’s Day, since activities that are fun to do with the whole gang (which include surf skiing) are frequently done at such times.

Of course, the best time to buy a surf ski would be around Christmas, since all products’ prices go down to almost half the price. Buying a surf ski at this time will also be less of hassle, since a lot of people are into Christmas items such as decorative balls, garlands and holiday socks, which will give you breathing space to pick the best surf ski that will fit your personality.

Time is not only the buyer’s sole basis when it comes to buying the surf ski despite the lower price range. You always have to think about the price. Unusual discounts might actually be an indication that a new and updated version of a surf ski will be available after a little while. So better canvass first before making any purchase.

High School Football Scouting - Recruiting Services

"During the high school football scouting process, you might start to notice some differences between high school and college football. One thing that I notice that is different for me from high school to college football is the speed of the game is faster. Everyone is faster, even the big guys. Your 'O' line, your 'D' line, your linebackers, your tight-end - everyone's bigger. They're all bigger and they're all faster. Wide-receivers are a lot quicker. That's one thing that I noticed in high school football scouting.

Because of that one fact that everyone's bigger faster and stronger than they were in high school, you have to become a student of the game. What that means is that you're going to spend just as much time watching film, learning plays, and running through plays as you do in school - because that's how you get the edge. It's a whole new level of play - after high school scouting - once you get to the college football level, especially if it's a D1 level.

One way that faith and your beliefs will play into college football: You have to have a strong belief in yourself and you have to have faith that things are going to work out the way that they're supposed to, even when the don't. You have to be ready for the worst, but you have to hope for the best. Believe in yourself, know that you can do whatever you want to do, no matter what anybody tells you. If somebody tells you that you can't do something that should give you more of a drive to do it and to make yourself better." -Jayson Rego (Running back for the University of Hawaii)

"The junior college football recruiting process isn't much different from that of the bigger schools. You shouldn't feel bad looking into junior college football recruiting. I started out looking into junior colleges and later on, towards the end of my senior season I was fortunate enough to be recruited by the University of Hawaii as well as Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

There are a lot of high school athletes that aspire to play at the Division 1 level and currently aren't getting looks from the Division I schools. Some of them are only getting looks from junior colleges, and some aren't getting any looks at all. My biggest piece of advise would be: don't be discouraged. I know a lot of athletes who took the long route, or developed later, or were just overlooked by coaches that didn't see their talent - and they went to play at junior colleges and persevered through it all - and now they're playing professionally.

If it's something that you really want to do it can be done. Whether you're interested in a bigger school or the junior college football recruiting process, you have to work hard. Hard work beats out talent when talent doesn't work hard. There is no substitution for hard work." -Inoke Funaki (Quarterback for the University of Hawaii)

"College football recruiting services can help you get recruited, but one piece of advice I would give any high school athlete going into college, education wise, is to go into a degree that will be good for you - something that you like, something that you enjoy, but also something that you could see yourself doing in the future. A lot of college athletes go into school thinking 'Oh, I'm just going to play football' and they don't have a backup plan. So when their football career is done they're stuck with nothing. They don't have a degree, they haven't finished, or they're going into something that they can't do anything with. So my advice would be - coming out of high school, going into college - make sure your degree is applicable, and is something that you want to do, and make sure it's a good backup plan for you. Talk to a college football recruiting service, so that if you finish with football at the end of your career you know that it's something that will work out for you and be good for your future.

If there's one thing that I would have done differently in high school while being recruited it's: I wouldn't have given a verbal commitment so early, because when you do that some teams tend to back off. Some schools tend to pull out - if they're giving you and offer, they won't anymore, and they'll look at someone else instead. So that's one thing that I would have done differently: not commit so early. College football recruiting services can help with that process" -Jayson Rego (Running back for the University of Hawaii)

Boxing - The Best Boxers of All Time, Pound For Pound

Boxing is a world renowned sport and this article has been written to highlight the best boxers of all time, pound for pound.

With boxing being a world renowned sport, it has had some of the best boxers ever enter the ring and this article has been written to mention 3 of the all time best ever boxers, pound for pound.

Joe Calzaghe

Joe (The Italian Dragon) Calzaghe, born 23rd March 1972, is without doubt one of the best light heavyweight boxers to enter the ring, due to the fact he has had an undefeated career winning all his 46 fights, 32 of them by knockout. Joe Calzaghe began boxing at the age of nine and won many fights as a schoolboy. It was in 1993 that Calzaghe started boxing professionally by signing a contract. In 1995 Calzaghe was voted Young Boxer of the Year. Calzaghe also became BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2007 making him the first Welsh winner since 1960. Joe Calzaghe started his boxing career in the middleweight class but eventually made his way up to the light heavyweight category in 2008 after winning fights and training hard. It wasn't until 2009 that Calzaghe announced that he was retiring from professional boxing finishing undefeated with a total of 46 winning fights.

Muhammad Ali

Muhammad (The Greatest) Ali, born 17th January 1942, is hands down the best American heavyweight boxer of all time. Muhammad Ali is a three-time World Heavyweight Champion and is one of the top sports personalities around the world. Ali started his professional career in the 1960s which was when he impressed fans with his record of 19 wins, 15 of these being knockouts. In the year 1964 Ali attempted to get in to the U.S Armed Forces but failed due to his poor writing and spelling skills. It was in the year 1965 that Ali won his first title and in this same year he converted to Islam and changed his name from Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr to Muhammad Ali. Ali had defeated every heavyweight boxer in his time and was named the fighter of the year and is one of three boxers to be named sportsman of the year. In 1984 Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson's syndrome and also retired in this year. Muhammad Ali is one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time which gives him the nickname "The Greatest" and he has an impressive record of 61 fights, winning 56, 37 by knockout and only loosing 5.

Chris Eubank

Chris (Simply the Best) Eubank, born 8th August 1966, is one of the best English middleweight boxers to have entered the sport. Chris Eubank was world champion for over five years and undefeated as a middleweight boxer. Eubank started his life in England but moved to New York when he was 16 to live with his mum. It was here that he realized his talent for boxing when he trained in his spare time at his local boxing club. Chris Eubank wanted to improve his skills at boxing so trained seven days a week which resulted in him becoming an amateur boxer. Eubank's made his professional debut in America just after his 19th birthday and in 1988 he returned to England to live with his brothers. While in England Eubank continued with his career in boxing and was rapidly winning fights against many top boxers. Chris Eubank eventually quit boxing with a credible 45 wins and 5 losses. Outside of boxing Eubank's has won many awards to do with his clothes as he has received Britain's Best Dressed Man award and Best Dressed Sportsman award. Eubank is also religious as he converted to Islam as an Adult.

This article is my personal view of who I think are the top 3 best boxers of all time, pound for pound. Boxing is a combat sport and martial art in which two people fight using their fists. Boxing is typically supervised by a referee, during a series of one to three minute intervals called rounds and the boxers are generally of similar weight.

The Predators Turn Into The Prey in Shark Fishing

I was eight years old when I saw the movie Jaws and it wasn’t until 7 years later that the situation was to be turned around through shark sportfishing. Immediately after watching Jaws, I was frightened to get in the ocean. A few months later, I noticed they wouldn't normally come close to you in shallow waters unless you’re in a motion picture or extremely unlucky. However for years, I thought that sharks were generally superior to men and women. That sharks kill human beings but not the other way around.

Picture my joyfulness when I found out that the hunter may actually become prey. I was 15 when I found out I can track down sharks and I’ve been hunting them ever since. It’s like payback for my younger years lived in fright of the shark getting rid of my limbs, letting me expire slowly, but surely.

I love shark fishing. I'm not sure if it is because I understand I can be better than the shark or because it’s just fun. But while I really like being better than the shark, it wasn’t exciting when I saw pictures of how Taiwan anglers were destroying hoards of "biologically vulnerable" sharks. These are sharks which are a bit of weaklings, not exactly the Jaws type.

The Taiwanese shark fishing is for the fins to maintain the Chinese specialty of using shark’s fin as a delicacy. The truth is, I loved shark angling but I don’t do it in a commercial sense. It was a pastime that would take 1 shark per week or perhaps 2. Kill one for food then put back one to live and to make babies.

If you see the pictures acquired by the Pew Environment Group, you want to think twice about going shark fishing. It’s really awful, looking at those de-finned and bleeding sharks left on the side of the road. Some are even tossed back into the water to perish. These fishermen are animals. They ought to be thrown into the water.

It brought to mind a photo taken in Japan of anglers hurting dolphins and whales in shallow waters to supply the sushi industry. Tsk, tsk. Many Americans just love sushi, me, included. But when I saw that picture, I just stopped eating sushi.

As for the commercial shark fishing, the Taiwanese Government promised to create more rigid laws on this. It wasn’t mentioned how but what was definite was that de-finned sharks should no longer be thrown back into the water.

Properly trained racehorse shares can be the great idea to gift someone.

The young thoroughbred horses are trained to admit human interaction, an important initial move. Primary instructions are effortless, with training systems based on singular horse qualities. The young horse is taught to accept a strap, the headgear used to adjust him around the shed. Throughout walks with his broodmare mother, a groom clasps a main rod to the halter. The young foal race studies to lead graciously - walking gradually, without hopping about.

Two and three-year-old vie from each other. Hence, training involving a winner horse takes place early on. Foals are usually coached to accept leads, saddles, and also bits. They discover ways to get started, avoid, plus activate command, and obey the orders of a rider. This will help to jockeys to direct their mounts in a horse racing game. Once the baby has learnt how to start, where to stop, and take side, the eider is added. Most horse learns to receive a ride within a small time period.
Youthful thoroughbreds have to discover ways to walk in the trailers, the quickest method of getting race from their farmsteads or further groups to the race pathway. When it comes to the racehorses, the thoroughbred horses come first in everyone’s mind. Isn’t it? They race daily on the tracks around the world. Froch-uppercuts And Ward-punches Awaits You At The Super Six World Classic Final!

An unanimous decision was all that it took Ward to thwart away every bit of threat that Armenian-cum-German boxer, Arthur Abraham, supposedly, posed for American Son of God, Andre Ward, at one of The Super Six World Classic Semi-Finals on May 14, 2011.

Ward’s difficult-to-gauge instincts, backed by his ring-friendly approach, were enough to cut through Abraham’s defense and bring him down, tactfully. This win at Carson, LA, marked Ward’s undisputed entry into the Atlantic City Ward Vs Froch final on December, 17, 2011. Stream the event to find Ward at his best, trying to surface with pride on an ocean of expectations.

Carl Froch, the granite-chinned boxer from Nottingham, England, UK, tasted a majority decision led victory at the other semi-final against the Jamaican Road Warrior, Glen Johnson.

Froch’s agility, coupled by better footwork, his chin’s resistance to the most damaging of blows, and his quick counter-punches worked for him, securing him an entry into the much-awaited Ward Vs Froch final. The more dramatic of the two, Froch will be tested live against Ward’s lightening speed that might put him in a situation similar to his 2009 clash against American boxer, Andre Dirrell.

As we ready our spirits to catch all the action, we should be aware that Ward possesses a style very similar to that of Dirrell, a fact that simply cultivates a possibility to find Froch struggling to gain contact as we access Ward Vs Froch live stream options.

Now, to get on with the task of finalizing stakes for the Atlantic City Finals, let’s compare past performances of our finalists against Dutch boxer, Mikkel Kessler.

Way back in November 2009, Ward dealt out a UD defeat to Kesslar, who, in the year that followed went on to nail the only defeat in Froch’s entire career. Another concern for Froch is a fact that Ward’s victory against Kessler came only after the American boxer managed to escape all penalties unnecessary head-butting.
Catch Ward Vs Froch live to find whether Ward resorts to such stunts all over again, or decides to depend on his famous Ward-Punches instead.

However, Carl Froch must not be underrated.

The boxer stands tough as two-times WBC Super Middleweight Champion, and is known across the contemporary arena as the boxer with a granite chin and unimaginable levels of power. Ward Vs Froch stream facilities will let us know if Ward is able to escape such damaging shots from this English Middleweight Champion this Saturday.
Super Six Final live stream option will enable us to witness Ward using his speed and punches to take down Froch, who might be ready to cause some real injury with his unpredictable, chin-breaking uppercuts.
